Duck Sauce (OST Composing Jam '24)

Yes yes, a crab canon and palindromic are sort of tautological right? :)
This project was made as part of the https://itch.io/jam/ost-composing-jam-sandbox. I've spent about 10 hours on it, starting with the idea of a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crab_canon.

While this one is one that is true to form, another cool thing also is part of this song. Both outer voices were originally written with invertibility in mind, which renders the voices invertible at the octave.

When flipping the order of the 4 voices from bottom to top, from top to bottom and retrograding all voices, you should have exactly the same song! (Barring human mistakes and Musescore ridiculousness).Also, retrograding random voices also seems to work to still have a viable song that isn't too much of a cacophony. Coherence suffers for it though.

The added two voices in the beginning/ending kind of tripped me up when flipping it at the end but I had to make do as much I could.

Nice exquisition to test my elaboration skills and playing around with complex counterpoint was also a lot of fun (and pain) :)
